As every year, the Summit of FEFCO (European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers) took place this year as well.
The seat of this year's Summit was Greece and more specifically Athens. The event took place from 15 to 17 May 2024 and gathered executives from FEFCO member companies from all over the world.
The three-day event took place at the Divani Apollon Palace hotel, where important developments in the corrugated paper packaging industry were discussed, with an emphasis on "Leading Circularity". The Greek Minister of Development, Mr. Skrekas, was also present at the Summit with the central pillars of his speech, sustainability and innovation.
SakisPack S.A. with 45 years of presence in the field of packaging and specialized knowledge in the sector, a member of the newly established Greek Paper Producers Association (HPPA), could not be absent from this summit. The Vice-President Ms. Dimitra Charitidou and the President Mr. Sakis Skondriannis attended as representatives of our company who followed with interest the trends and developments of the sector supporting the actions of the Hellenic Paper Producers Association (HPPA). At this year's summit, the important role of corrugated cardboard was emphasized, for strengthening the competitiveness of various industries, supporting tourism and innovation, and the sustainability report of HPPA was presented.
The event ended with the speech of the General Manager FEFCO Ms. Eleni Despotou with a phrase that we at SakisPack S.A. adopt and advocate:
